This tour has been suggested by many customers who visited with us the different regions
of Romania. Visiting the Danube Delta and Transylvania in a single tour will give an idea of
the beauty of this country and will not leave indifferent even the most critical tourists!
The Danube delta provides a natural spectacle among the widest in the world: first and foremost
is the third most important wetland of the globe and the set destination of millions of migratory
birds. The image that best represents the Delta are the numerous colonies of white pelicans and
so the visit with a good camera is a must. The starting point for the exploration of the delta is
located in the city of Tulcea, regional capital and also known as "the delta", from where the
river divides into three tributaries: Chilia, Sulina and Sfantu Gheorghe, dividing the delta
in vast areas of swamps, sand banks and reeds.
And now the Transylvania… land from the story of countless conflicts and where Western and Eastern culture has
created a magnificent plot: many fields are still cultivated by hand, enchanting panoramas to be discovered,
innumerable villages with fortified churches, medieval towns and ancient traditions unchanged. A region to
be discovered as did the nineteenth-century travelers when curiosity drove the tourists to discover new
worlds. A historical region of Romania, the land of the “daci”, the ancestors of the Romanians; for about
a thousand years has been part of the Kingdom of Hungary and later of Kingdom of Austria and Hungary.
The changes of style caused by the change of different rules are evident both in the architecture but also
when talking to people: in many villages we talk almost exclusively Hungarian because of the large Hungaria
n minority. The other minority of Saxon origin owes its presence in Transylvania to the Hungarian kings who,
over time, promoted immigration of people from German-speaking regions in the 12th and 13th century. Saxons
and Hungarians have left numerous architectural remains in the territory: beautiful buildings, fortified
churches and castles. The cities of Transylvania are Brasovo (ancient city),
Cluj-Napoca, Alba Iulia,
Sighisoara and Sibiu (the latter named European capital of culture in 2007).
There is no time of the year during when the Transylvania would fail to fascinate the tourist… winter
snow makes the landscapes magical, while the colors of spring, summer and autumn make this region a
permanent appointment for thousands of travelers who are attracted by the beauty of nature.
